Cricketers congratulate Pakistan for securing hosting rights of Champions Trophy 2025

As the International Cricket Council (ICC) declared that Pakistan will hold the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, congrats began pouring in from both homegrown and unfamiliar cricketers. 


Taking to Twitter, previous quick bowler Shoaib Akhtar said that he's "very energized" to find out about the news.

 Previous cricketer Waqar Younus praised Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja for his endeavors, adding that Pakistan got its "prize for playing the T20 World Cup like heroes." 


"Cricket is in the groove again [in Pakistan," he composed.


 For former Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali, it was "wonderful news."


 Former New Zealand cricketer, Danny Morrison, also congratulated Pakistan and called the news "very exciting."


 Akin to Morrison, Sri Lankan player Dimuth Karunarathna also felicitated Pakistan.
